MSDS — material safety data sheet for Hair Dye Shampoo
The safety data sheet your forwarder and your compliance team will ask for before the goods move — including the transport classification in Section 14.
What it is
A material safety data sheet (MSDS, also written SDS) is the standard document describing a product's hazards, safe handling, storage and transport information. The great majority of sheets follow the GHS format.
Section 14 of the sheet carries the transport information: it states whether the product is classified as dangerous goods for carriage. That is why the sheet is the starting point for shipping — freight forwarders and carriers ask for it as a first step. Ours is issued by Shenzhen CDT Testing Technology Co., Ltd

Why it matters to you
- You will be asked for it. Forwarders and carriers request the safety data sheet before booking, and your own compliance team needs it for the product file.
- It contains the transport classification (Section 14), which is what decides how the goods may be packed and labelled for carriage.
- It is product-specific and dated, so it has to be current when you ship: ours runs to 31 December 2026.
How to verify it
Report numbers can be confirmed with the issuing laboratory, Shenzhen CDT Testing Technology Co., Ltd — quote CDT25122207YRS. Ask us and we will send the original PDF together with your quotation.
What this does not mean
- It covers the product named on it (Hair Dye Shampoo). A different formula or SKU needs its own sheet.
- It is a safety document, not an approval. It does not register the product in any market.
- It is time-limited: this sheet runs to 31 December 2026, so ask for the current version if you ship after that date.
Questions buyers ask
Why does the MSDS matter for my order?
Because it is required before the goods move: the sheet carries the transport information that forwarders and carriers rely on, and it is the document your own compliance team files with the product.
Is the MSDS the same as the transport classification report?
No. The MSDS describes the product across its sections, including transport information in Section 14. The transport classification report is the document issued specifically to classify these goods for carriage. We hold both, and they are dated the same.
